Dr. Quentin J. Lee is the superintendent of Talladega City Schools. Previously he has served as the Band Director of Talladega County Central High School, Assistant Principal of Childersburg Middle School, Principal of Talladega County Central High School, and Principal of Childersburg High School.  Dr. Lee is originally from Scottsboro Alabama and currently resides in Oxford AL.  He is the second of six sons born to the late Edna Ruth Stone.  He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Instrumental Music Education from Alabama A&M University, Master's Degree in Instructional Leadership from Samford University, Educational Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership from Jacksonville State University, and a Doctoral Degree from Samford University in Educational Leadership. Dr. Lee is a 2020-2021 Cohort Member of the Alabama Superintendent’s Academy sponsored by the Alabama Department of Education, and the University of Alabama.

 

Dr. Lee became a viral sensation in 2020 for making videos to engage students during Covid-19.  His video was viewed over 9 million times collectively.  His “Can’t Touch This Covid Parody” video helped schools navigate safely to return back to school. Dr. Lee was featured on several national platforms such as: 360- CNN, Fox and Friends, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Greatest At Home Videos, and NBC Nightly News. Dr. Lee was able to virtually speak with various media personalities including by not limited to Lester Holt, Hoda, Anderson Cooper, Cedric The Entertainer, and ultimately MC Hammer.

 

Dr. Lee is a member of Church of the Highlands and serves at the Oxford Campus with the Worship Team, Baptism Team, and Small Groups.

 

He is married to Dr. Anita C. Lee who is a Doctor of Physical Therapy.  Dr. Lee has three wonderful children; Kiesha Lee, a student at Gadsden State Community College; Cass Lee, a eight year old student at Munford Elementary School that wants to be a teacher in the future, and Little Miss Aniya Lee who is a precious 5 year old princess that is destined for success by entering Kindergarten on a third grade reading level. 

 

Quentin Lee is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity Incorporated.  He is affiliated with the CLAS (Council for Leadership in Alabama Schools), SSA (School Superintendent’s Association) AEA (Alabama Education Association), AHSAA (Alabama High School Sports Association), Dynamic Learning Project through Google for Education, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, Life Changer of the Year Nominee, and a Central Alabama 40 Under 40 inaugural class member, OVA (Our Voice Academy) Cohort 3 Member  

 

Dr. Quentin Lee has presented for many organizations such as: Ted Talk, Google for Education (EDU Onair), Kahoot (conference presenter and host), and ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) presenter and main stage speaker, and the HOPE Institute Summer Character Education Summit. 

 

Dr. Lee has received the: Deborah C. Wolfe Principal of the Year 2020-2021 by the Alabama Black Education Alliance, Go Be Great Award by Varsity Brand Sports, and a Character Education Award from Samford University.

 

Dr. Quentin Lee is a board member for the Alabama Childhood Food Solutions organization that provides food for families in Central Alabama.  Dr. Lee is also a board member for the Alabama High School Sports Association District 6, and on the Alabama High School Sports Association Board of Control.
