He holds a B.S. in Instrumental Music Education from Alabama A&M University, a Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership from Samford University, an Educational Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership from Jacksonville State University, and a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Samford University.
Dr. Lee became a viral sensation in 2020 for creating videos to engage students during COVID-19. His “Can’t Touch This” COVID parody reached over 9 million views collectively and helped schools navigate reopening safely. His work garnered national attention, with features on CNN 360, Fox and Friends, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Greatest At Home Videos, and NBC Nightly News. He has engaged virtually with media personalities including Lester Holt, Hoda Kotb, Anderson Cooper, Cedric the Entertainer, and MC Hammer.
He is a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity, Inc. His professional affiliations include CLAS (Council for Leadership in Alabama Schools), SSA (School Superintendents Association), AHSAA (Alabama High School Sports Association), the National Association of Secondary School Principals, Dynamic Learning Project through Google for Education, Life Changer of the Year Nominee, Central Alabama 40 Under 40 inaugural class member, and OVA (Our Voice Academy) Cohort 3 Member. He is also a member of the Talladega Rotary Club.
Dr. Lee is a highly sought-after motivational speaker and has presented for organizations including TED Talk, Google for Education (EDU OnAir), Kahoot (conference presenter and host), ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education), ASCD, and the HOPE Institute Summer Character Education Summit.
He has received numerous recognitions, including the Deborah C. Wolfe Principal of the Year (2020–2021) by the Alabama Black Education Alliance, the Varsity Brand Sports “Go Be Great” Award, and the Character Education Award from Samford University.
Dr. Lee currently serves on the Board of the Northeast Alabama Community Foundation and the Alabama High School Sports Association District 6.
He is a member of the Church of the Highlands, serving at the Oxford Campus with his wife as Leader of the Baptism Team, while also participating in the Worship Team and Small Groups.
