Central Office Staff
Dr. Quentin J. Lee serves as the Superintendent of Talladega City Schools, bringing a rich background in educational leadership, instructional strategy, and student engagement to the district. His career in public education spans essential leadership roles, including Band Director and Principal at Talladega County Central High School, as well as Assistant Principal and Principal across the Childersburg Middle and High School.
Dr. Lee holds a B.S. in Instrumental Music Education from Alabama A&M University, a Master’s and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Samford University, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership from Jacksonville State University.
In 2020, Dr. Lee gained national acclaim for his innovative approach to student connection during the COVID-19 pandemic. His viral parody video, "Can't Touch This," garnered over 9 million views and served as a creative tool to safely guide schools through reopening. His work earned features on major platforms, including The Today Show, Good Morning America, CNN 360, Fox & Friends, and NBC Nightly News, leading to virtual engagements with prominent figures such as Lester Holt, Anderson Cooper, Hoda Kotb, and MC Hammer.
A sought-after keynote speaker, Dr. Lee has presented on national stages including TEDx, Google for Education (EDU OnAir), Kahoot, ISTE, ASCD, and the HOPE Institute Summer Character Education Summit. His leadership has been recognized with the Alabama Black Education Alliance's Deborah C. Wolfe Principal of the Year Award (2020–2021), the Varsity Brands "Go Be Great" Award, and the Character Education Award from Samford University.
Dr. Lee maintains active professional involvement with the Council for Leadership in Alabama Schools (CLAS), School Superintendents Association (SSA), and the National Association of Secondary School Principals. He serves on the boards of the Northeast Alabama Community Foundation and the Alabama High School Sports Association (AHSAA) District 6.
He is a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and the Talladega Rotary Club. Faith and community remain central to his life; he and his wife actively serve at the Church of the Highlands (Oxford Campus), where they lead the Baptism Team, and he participates in the Worship Team and small groups.
